Harefield Legends Reunite For Harestock.

The original members of Harefield band My Mate Kate, Ricky Gould , Danny Gould and Jack Harris, are to reunite for a one off performance as My Mate Jess for Harestock , the one day music festival to raise funds to help Jess beat Boris.

Harefield has already excelled itself in fund raising for Jess, the little girl the village has taken to their hearts, with the popular Disney Day and the Celebrity Football Match and it is hoped that Harestock will be a similar success.

Organisers Ricky and Danny Gould and Gaz South had the idea simultaneously to put on a benefit for Jess. Beat poet Gaz told the Scandal” I wanted to put a festival on the common and get My Mate Kate involved  and as I was exploring the possibilities with Councillor Jane Palmer, Ricky phoned me and told me he and the boys wanted to get back together and do something for Jess”.

Ricky continued “We just thought of doing a gig ourselves but the idea snowballed as more bands wanted to get involved. We’ve talked with Jack about the possibility of getting back together for a one off gig and this seemed the best possible reason”.

Ricky and Danny still perform with My Mate  Kate with two new members, touring the country from their base in the  midlands while Jack is in the popular indie band Chasing Cadence, who have a new single out, Everyone Relax, and an EP and tour in September.

The other acts on the bill are:-

The Gaz South Band, usually known as South West, who some will remember from Hoppy the Geordie’s fiftieth birthday party. Featuring top guitarist Daryl West and singer Gaz backed by great session players.

Release the Peach, the ideal festival band playing their original melodic progressive rock compositions , featuring vocalist Judith Spicer and husband Jim on keyboards, both from round Ash Grove.

Undersound, local writer with the Gazette and Hayes fm presenter Hughie Dixon’s band, a three piece playing a wide range of musical styles.

The Harefield Ukelele Orchestra, aka the Fabulous Flying Ukeleles, who play their own brand of west coast psychedelic jazz funk fusion to an oompah beat. Naked.

Country Eddie. He plays rock n roll.

Rockin’ Ronnie Ryall. He plays country.

Paul Collier. One half of legendary Harefield duo Larger Than Life – the other half is on holiday.

Nikki B, Harefieldian actress and singer.

Georgie B, no relation. Rumour has it he wrote all the hits for the Everly Brothers and AC/DC but you should never believe rumours in Harefield.
